MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – For all those who can’t foot that ticket to Pamplona, there’s an event in the north metro where they can grab life by the horns.

Inspired by the running of the bulls in Spain, organizers in Elk River held a run with the same adrenaline rush.

On Saturday, 18 bulls ran the quarter-mile course at the Elk River Extreme Motor Park. There were three different runs.

But they weren’t all without injury.

While no one suffered major wounds, organizers say there were a few cuts and concussions.
